The RecruitTECH conference is SOLD OUT.

The inaugural Australian Recruitment and Technology Conference - RecruitTECH 2009 - will be held at the Canberra Business Event Centre, Regatta Point, on 18 September 2009.

An initiative of online jobs website CapitalJobs.com.au, the event will feature some of Australia’s foremost thinkers and speakers in the recruitment and technology space.

Why recruitment and technology?

At the heart of every organisation are people.  The success or failure of an organisation to acquire talented people has a direct impact on whether it flourishes or flounders.

mediumSkills shortages and the well-documented  ‘war for talent’ have made it difficult to find great people in recent times.  The challenge to source talent will become greater in coming years as demand increases, competition intensifies and skilled workers become more scarce.

To be successful, organisations need to become more adept at sourcing the best talent in the marketplace.  One of the ways that they can improve their sourcing methods is by using technology.

Many innovative, leading-edge organisations are now using web technologies to assist them with their talent acquisition activities.  Perhaps it’s time that your organisation did likewise?

What will be covered at RecruitTECH?

smallThe RecruitTECH conference will provide delegates with an insight into the future of recruitment and how technology will increasingly impact upon the sourcing of employees in coming years.

Themes to be covered during the conference include:  the use of social media (eg. Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn), user-generated content, the distributed workforce, the evolution of recruitment advertising, the use of employer-branded career sites, and the trend towards Software as a Service (SaaS).  Further information about the content of the conference is available in the conference program.
