9 hrs and, yes, I work weekends when fatherly and husbandly duties allow!

Date my wife, play with my 3 kids, go to the beach, read books, listen to music, watch sport

If you were able to invite any three people to dinner, who would they be and why?

My paternal grandfather to understand what it was really like landing at Gallipoli Cove in WW1, Tiger Woods to understand how he practices his shots and Don Henley (Eagles) to understand his creative process for writing songs

Do you have a business mantra or favourite saying? If so, what is it?

Plenty – my current favourite is ‘action precedes clarity’

What is the biggest mistake that you have ever made in your business?

Didn’t properly investigate a business I didn’t fully understand and then bought it.

In your eyes, what are the three top trends in the recruitment and technology space?

Using properly validated assessment tools, competency analysis, mapping & development and transparency in the workplace

What are you going to talk about at RecruitTECH and why is it important?

Recruitment in the 21st Century: Art or Science? It’s important because far too many employers still recruit people based on likeability and gut feel – great for dating but terrible for building a highly motivated and effective workforce.
